Paula Faris

Paula Faris, an American journalist, previously worked as a TV correspondent for ABC News. Her most well-known work is her time as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 to 2018 as well as in her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to 2018. Prior to this, she hosted World News Now and America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She worked in radio sales because television was not a viable option. She was recruited to work as a WKEF/WRGT production assistant. Later, she became a reporter and anchor. From 2002 until 2005 she was the weekend sports anchor as well as the sports anchor for weekdays at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati. The contract was canceled and she became a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 to December 2011. In December 2011, she was hired by ABC News the division for news of ABC. The 2nd of January, 2012, she made her debut on the ABC network's World News Now and America This Morning. She also appeared on Good Morning America's fill in program, Good Morning America, from January 2, 2012. Later, she was made a New York-based correspondent for every ABC News programs. She hosted America This Morning and World News Now's last episode on January 22 2013. On August 9, 2014 she made her debut as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend, after the departure of Bianna Golodryga, who moved to Yahoo! News. ABC announced that she would be joining The View as a cohost for season 19. It was announced on August 3 in 2016 that she had been renewed for her contract for the twentieth season. Season 21 was also renewed, with the co-hosting role. During the series' 21st and 22nd seasons she was mainly on screen during the show's Friday shows.
