Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish: Born on 10th July 1972) is a Colombian-American actor as well as a television producer, presenter, and model. Vergara was the highest paid actress in American television between 2013 to 2020.Vergara became famous after co-hosting two television shows for Spanish-language television network Univision in the mid-90s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's debut major acting role in English. Then, she was in Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler Perry's comedy, Come to Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the former. She began her career as Gloria Delgado–Pritchett in ABC's comedy series Modern Family, for which she received nominations for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards. Her voice-over roles include Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also part of The Emoji Movie (2017). Vergara was also the highest paid Hollywood actress in 2020 [citation required]. Vergara is America's Got Talent judge since 2020. Vergara was the daughter of a Roman Catholic family from Barranquilla. [8] Vergara's mother Margarita Vergara Devergara was a homemaker, while her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo worked as a cattle rancher within the meat industry. She was nicknamed "Toti" by her siblings and many cousins. Vergara first studied dentistry for three years at National University of Colombia, however, she resigned two semesters from finishing her education to pursue opportunities in modeling and show business.
