Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (pronounced NOH-vitch) is an Canadian actress from Canada. She is well-known for her roles in ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama in the role of Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress was born Maya Hartwell. She was a part of the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is of Polish descent and spent one year in Poland in the 9th grade. Her family was there through her uncle and attended Jelenia Gora school. She then went on to study at Vancouver Film School. After her brother introduced her the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. In 2002, she made her first acting appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She was also a guest in John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she was the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. She starred in Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original movie, in the year 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a regular of the series) in the drama television series Caprica with Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. In the following season, she appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she was an actor in Jane Espenson's second series, the romance web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno, although it was film in 2012, was released worldwide in 2015. Apanowicz was cast to be the character Angela in Volition the science fiction thriller film. The film was released in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the recurring role of Sandy in the second season of Netflix action film You.
