Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter (born July 23rd 1970) is an American actress from the United States. She was Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She was also a star in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas; she was also part of a song-and-dance troupe that performed in the Las Vegas Valley when she was 9 years old. old.When Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosario Beach, Baja California, Mexico and then to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was on a tour to Europe after graduating. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor as well as a videostore clerk and property manager. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., the former San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who tried to subdue them at gunpoint. During the struggle, both her friends and Hubbard were shot, causing Hubbard to flee from the scene; both friends survived the attack. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to a 56-year imprisonment for a series rapes, as well as robberies. Carpenter took Hubbard his police-issue flashlight on the beach. He had left it at the beach. This flashlight became an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
