Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Mixett is a Canadian actress best known for her roles on films such as Apartment Hunting, â€Men with Brooms, and ’The Tree of Life. Born and raised in Spalding, Saskatchewan, she later relocated to Alberta, Canada, from where she attended high school. Acting was something she discovered during her teens. To receive further training in acting, she attended the 'National Theatre School,' in Montreal and then attended the  Moscow Theatre School.' She made her television debut in the year 1996, playing a supporting role in the Canadian show titled "The Rez.' In the same year, she also appeared in series' like 'Forever Knight' and 'Ready or Not.' In the late 1990s she made her film debut in the film called Papertrail'. She later appeared in films such as ‘Men with Brooms’ or 'Cypher. She was also an actor in a supporting role on series like 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery and 'Blue Murder. She was also in film through the early 2000s, however her film appearances were much less than her TV roles. In 1998, she was also cast as the main role of Colleen Blessed in the Canadian drama series Power Play. The show ran for two seasons with 26 episodes. It received commercial and critical acclaim. For her part in the series she was nominated for the Gemini Award. Jude Lyon Matchett was born to her in June 2013. But she didn't reveal the father's name. According to some sources the father of her son was her ex-boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke was in his mid-1990s, and they began dating. They were finally married in 1998. The wedding was a disaster and the couple broke from each other in 2006.
