2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps also goes by the name 2 Chainz. He is an American rapper. Georgia born, he founded the hip hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high-school friend. Their debut album, 'Supply and Demand was a modest success. Epps released his album 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was a top-ranked album on US Billboard 200. It was a great commercial success. It sold 147,000 copies in the first week! Since the release of this album, there has been no stopping him and he rose to be one of the top hip-hop artists in the US. He has been honored with six Grammy awards and won one for his track "No Problem". After his bag containing marijuana and promethazine was discovered in his bag on a flight leaving Los Angeles International Airport, the singer was detained. However, his run-in with the law hasn't impacted his popularity. The fourth album, and the most recent one entitled "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was released in June 2017. Based on a T.R.U. Story', 2 Chainz' debut studio album, can be considered his first major work and his most successful. It was a huge success and climbed to the top spot on the US Billboard 200. The album was also sold out in a matter of weeks. The album eventually sold 623,000 copies during the year. The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. Most reviews were positive. 2 Chainz married Kesha Wade in 2013. The couple have three children, Heaven and Harmony. He has had a long and prosperous career but is well-known for his penchant for getting into trouble with the law. He has been detained numerous times for drug possession.
