Jennifer Carpenter Bio

 American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter was conceived December 7th, 1979. She is most well-known for her role as Debra Morgan on Showtime's Dexter. In 2009, she won the Saturn Award. Also, she was recognized for playing Rebecca Harris on CBS's Limitless. She was chosen to play Erica Shepherd, a leading part in the NBC drama The Enemy Within. Carpenter initially attracted attention for her role in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. She was awarded the 2006 MTV Movie Award for "Best Frightened Performance", and also received an "Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award". The actress was named "Breakout Performer" at the 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They were married on New Year's Eve 2008 in California. Hall and Carpenter released an announcement in December of 2010 saying that they had separated for "for some period of time". But they remain close friends. Carpenter and Seth Avett, musician, were announced to be married and expecting their first child on February 10, 2015. Carpenter was eight and half months pregnant at the time she shot the pilot episode of Limitless, had her son in May 2015. Carpenter and Avett were married in May of 2016.
